We are underway already performing urgent, short-term maintenance work on our systems due to the recently identified security vulnerabilities in PHP: Critical PHP RCEs CVE-2026-109618 & CVE-2026-109619. We are addressing this with the highest priority and working tirelessly to apply the appropriate mitigations. We are also ensuring that our systems stay completely up to date with the latest available official vendor patches.

While we are watching the situation very careful, especially for possible exploits coming up, we want to make you aware of taking care of certain countermeasures for your possible affected systems and services.

The slow DUS2 to HAM1 synchronization is likely caused by a version mismatch. Upgrading HAM1 to match DUS2 would trigger a known Ceph bug that causes OSD restarts. We are testing a solution to prevent the OSD restarts, which should also resolve the sync slowness.
